The house

Home | The House | The Town | Details

The house was built in about 1740 and fully renovated in 2004. It has listed building status and is situated on the UNESCO world heritage site boundary in the lovely area of Plesivecka. It is accessible by car with parking for one vehicle inside the garden. It is 5 minutes walk from the town centre, castle and the local shops.

The house has 3 floors.  It comprises a large sitting/dining room (sleeping 1 on a sofa bed), kitchen, shower room and separate wc. There is a small sitting room on the first floor with adjoining bathroom (small hip bath!) and one double bedroom with single sofa bed. The second double bedroom is in the attic (narrow stairs so not suitable for the infirm or for small children) and access to this is through the other bedroom.

The kitchen is small but well equiped with microwave oven, two ring hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, washing machine and underfloor heating. The hot water is plentiful and at mains pressure in the shower.

This is now a little sitting room with

access to bedrooms and adjoining bathroom.

The house has a CD player but does not have television or telephone (mobile coverage is generally very good). Internet access is available at several cafes in town.
There is a small secluded courtyard entrance, lovely for sunbathing, barbecues and al fresco meals. The small sunny garden has a fruiting apricot tree, a quince tree and a beautiful lilac.
For larger parties more self catering apartments are available in the same square - please contact us for details.
